Oxfam deplores unfair wealth distribution ahead of G20 summit

HAMBURG, GERMANY (JULY 6, 2017) (REUTERS) – Charity Oxfam on Thursday (July 6) denounced unfair wealth distribution in the world ahead of the start of the G20 summit, demanding from leaders they put “reducing inequality number one on their agenda.”

According to Oxfam, just eight people own the equivalent of the poorest half of the world population, 3.6 billion people.

Meanwhile, hundreds of anti-G20 protesters reached a tent city on the outskirts of Hamburg after their train arrived from Basel, Switzerland earlier in the morning.
