“Baywatch” movie adaptation gets first trailer

The “Baywatch” movie adaptation, starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, gets first trailer.

(PARAMOUNT PICTURES) – The first trailer for the movie adaptation of “Baywatch”, starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, was released late on Thursday (December 8).

The film remake of the iconic ’90s television series appears to offer plenty of sun, sea, sand and crime-fighting.

At an event in London last year, Efron told Reuters that his version of “Baywatch” would depart drastically from the TV show.

“It’s going to be R-rated and it’s going to be badass,” Efron said, referring to the Hollywood classification for movies containing adult material.

In the trailer, Efron and Johnson’s buff lifeguards are paired up to tackle Priyanka Chopra’s villainous character.

Original stars David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson will also make special guest appearances in the film.

“Baywatch” is slated to hit cinemas in May 2017.
