“The Boss Baby” held on to its top spot at the U.S. weekend box office for the second week in a row. Nathan Frandino reports.
(20TH CENTURY FOX, WALT DISNEY PICTURES, SONY PICTURES) – A suit-wearing baby showed viewers who’s boss at the box office this weekend.
“The Boss Baby” brought in $26.3 million dollars in U.S. theaters, holding onto the top spot for the second consecutive week.
The movie stars Alec Baldwin as a baby who up-ends a family with his arrival.
Coming in second was Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast.”
The live action remake starring Emma Watson earned an estimated $25 million during its fourth week.
Meanwhile, the Smurfs returned to theaters with the franchise’s third installment.
“Smurfs: The Lost Village” brought in an estimated $14 million in ticket sales.
