British singer Sam Smith unveils the video for “Writing’s on the Wall”, the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film “Spectre”.

(CAPITOL RECORDS) – Grammy Award winner Sam Smith has unveiled the video for “Writing’s on the Wall” on Monday (October 5), the theme tune for upcoming James Bond flick “Spectre”.

The “Stay With Me” singer co-wrote the track with fellow Grammy Award winner Jimmy Napes, with whom he collaborated for his best-selling 2014 debut album “In the Lonely Hour”.

Smith joins the likes of Adele and Shirley Bassey in performing a Bond film theme.

The song was released on September 25 and has gone on to reach number one in the UK, making Smith the first ever artist to reach the top of the charts in Britain with a James Bond theme tune.

The video shows Bond himself, played by Daniel Craig, kissing actress Monica Bellucci.

Another star of “Spectre”, Lea Seydoux, also makes an appearance in the video in which she interacts with Bond.

There is also a brief glimpse of the movie’s mysterious new villain played by Oscar winning actor Christoph Waltz.

“Spectre” is due to be released in the UK on October 26 and in the USA on November 6.
