The Sundance film festival joins women’s marches

Members of the film community at the Sundance film festival turn out in unprecedented numbers to walk down Park City’s Main street in conjunction with Saturday’s (January 21) women’s marches.

PARK CITY, UTAH, UNITED STATES (JANUARY 21, 2017) (REUTERS) – Members of the independent film industry came together at the Sundance film festival to join in the women’s marches in the United States and internationally on Saturday (January 21).

Fronted by comedian and activist Chelsea Handler, the march drew in significantly more protesters than organizers expected.

Thousands walked down the Sundance film festival’s Main Street before attending a rally where Handler is due to speak.
