Genetic ancestry provides important context for understanding global diversity in childhood leukemia

Scientists at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are studying the impact of genetic ancestry on childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), the most common type of pediatric cancer. The team found that ancestry itself is an independent factor contributing to differences in treatment outcomes.
