June 10, 2023 \/Technology\/ — Theodore John Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber, was a mathematics prodigy who abandoned his academic career in 1969 to pursue a primitive lifestyle. <\/span>Between 1978 and 1995, Kaczynski murdered three individuals and injured 23 others in a nationwide mail bombing<\/span> campaign against people he believed to be advancing modern technology and the destruction of the natural environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kaczynski was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, in 1942. He was a brilliant child and excelled in school. He attended Harvard University at the age of 16 and graduated with a degree in mathematics in 1962. He then went on to earn a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Michigan in 1967.<\/p>\n
