Police investigating Nyong’o’s stolen gown

Police are “conducting an investigation” into Lupita Nyong’o’s stolen Oscar dress.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES (FEBRUARY 22, 2015) (A.M.P.A.S.) – Police have launched an investigation into the missing gown worn by Lupita Nyong’o at the Academy Awards.

On Thursday (February 26), Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood Station Lieutenant Michael White said that the investigation has started but that there were no leads as of yet.

“We’re reviewing security footage as we speak,” said White.

Nyong’o’s gown was stolen from her room at the luxury hotel, The London West Hollywood, on Wednesday (February 25). The custom Calvin Klein gown was adorned with 6,000 pearls and is valued at 150,000 dollars. The gown helped the Oscar-winning actress make many of the best dressed lists from Oscar night, where she was on hand to present the best supporting Oscar category.
