Stars, including Oprah Winfrey, react to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death on Twitter.

INTERNET (JULY 27, 2015) (REUTERS) – Celebrities gave their reactions on Twitter to the death of the only child of late singer Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, on Monday (July 27).

Oprah Winfrey tweeted simply: “Peace at last!!”, while Missy Elliot said: “My heart is truly heavy. May u rest in peace with your mommy. Sending praters 2 the Brown/Houston family.”

Baptist minister and civil rights activist Reverend Al Sharpton tweeted: “My prayers are with Cissy Houston, Bobby Brown and the entire family.”

Musician Ne-yo said simply “Rest in peace”, while director Ava DuVernay said: “She seemed to be caught in the web of celebrity upon arrival. Twenty two years. A sad end. May the sister have peace now.”

Brown died on Sunday (July 26) at the age of 22, some six months after suffering irreversible brain damage in an incident at her suburban Atlanta home, her family said in a statement.

Brown, whose father is R&B singer Bobby Brown, was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub in her home by her partner and a friend on Jan. 31. She was moved by her family to hospice care on June 24.
