Euphoria in the San Francisco bay Area as thousands arrive for the Super Bowl

Fans arrive at Levi’s stadium in Santa Clara ahead of Super Bowl 50.

SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES (FEBRUARY 7, 2016) (REUTERS) – Fans could not hide their excitement on Sunday (February 7) as they arrived at the Levi’s stadium for the Super Bowl.

This year’s Super Bowl is taking place under unprecedented security following last year’s Paris attacks and the San Bernardino shooting. But supporters of the Broncos and Carolina Panthers would not let the big police presence and the soldiers standing guard outside the stadium damper their moods.

“It’s awesome, it’s a great feeling. I think the panthers are going to get off to a great start and we’re going to take home a victory to Charlotte,” said Ian, a Panther’s fan from North Carolina.

But Broncos fans were adamant that they will be going home victorious after Sunday’s match.

“We’re ready for our second chance. We went to the Super Bowl two years ago, so we are ready to kick butt today,” said Katelyn, who travelled to the Bay Area from San Diego to cheer on the Broncos.

“A lot of nerves, waiting to go in but it should be a good game. The Broncos are going to come out with this one” said Chris, who painted his body Orange for Sunday’s game.
