Two news crews robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco

USA (Next Media) – Two California television news crews were mugged on Thursday in a dawn robbery that saw one of the cameramen pistol whipped, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the reporters were covering a homicide at Pier 14 in San Francisco when a black BMW pulled up.

A man wearing a ski mask got out the vehicle, threatening a crew from KNTV first. He allegedly pistol whipped the cameraman twice, and stole their equipment, reports NBC.

Next, he approached a second news crew from KTVU, aimed his gun at them and took their gear. The robber fled the scene in the BMW that another suspect was reportedly driving. Police say three male suspects were involved in the attack, writes the San Francisco Chronicle.
