Volcano erupts on island of suspected MH370 wreckage

(REUTERS) – A volcano erupted on the remote Indian Ocean island of Reunion, located east of Madagascar.

The island — officially a part of France — happens to be the site where beachcombers discovered debris from a plane wing, believed to have come from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370

Access to the volcano — known as Piton de la Fournaise — was banned after the eruption, which occurred in the morning hours.

The piece of the plane wing discovered was sent to France for further investigation… in the hopes that it may contain clues to the fate of the plane that mysteriously vanished in March 2014 without a trace.
