Clinton, Sanders tackle race relations at debate

Democratic presidential candidates Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton square off on issues ranging from incarceration rate in the U.S. to policing tactics on the streets.

(PBS NEWSHOUR) – Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton tried to mend her badly wounded campaign in a debate with rival Bernie Sanders on Thursday.

After her embarrassing 22-point loss to Sanders in New Hampshire’s presidential nominating contest, Clinton faced off against Sanders at a debate jointly hosted between Facebook and PBS Newshour at 9 p.m. EST in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In the sixth presidential debate that featured several sharp exchanges but a more sedate tone than their last meeting, Clinton and Sanders addressed campaign financing, the judicial system, Wall Street, and women voters, among other issues.
