Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton tells a Latino group that “love trumps hate.”
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, UNITED STATES (MARCH 14, 2016) (RESTRICTED POOL) – Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton told a gathering of Latino voters in Chicago on Monday (March 14) that, if president, she would press for comprehensive reform of the nation’s immigration system.
“I will work very hard when I am president, if you join with others to help me become president, to be sure that we immediate begin working for comprehensive immigration reform,” Clinton said.
Clinton contrasted her approach with that of Republican candidate Donald Trump, who has pledged to build a wall at the U.S. border to Mexico to dissuade illegal immigration.
“We have to have a big vote tomorrow that can send a strong message that love trumps hate,” Clinton said.
