Zimbabwe’s Moyo home raided amid army takeover

HARARE, ZIMBABWE (NOVEMBER 15, 2017) – Video and still photographs obtained by Reuters on Thursday (November 16), show the aftermath of a raid on the home of Zimbabwe’s former Information Minister Jonathan Moyo in Harare.

The images, captured on a mobile phone, show shattered glass, bullet holes, and spent cartridges in and around Moyo’s residence. The front door was blown open with explosives.

Moyo and Saviour Kasukwere, another cabinet minister from the G40 political faction of President Robert Mugabe’s ZANU-PF party, fled to Mugabe’s compound after their homes were attacked by troops on Tuesday (November 14), said one political source, who had spoken to people inside the compound.
