Ten Swiss companies showcased their innovations at CES, according to a press release from Switzerland Global Enterprise. The companies are in the fields of health tech, edtech, sport tech, greentech, and AI/robotics.
Here’s a breakdown of each company and their innovations:
* **Calopad** produces a “thinnest all-in-one therapy device that delivers deep heat and cold therapy for full-body relief”. The device is designed for pain relief, inflammation reduction and muscle relaxation, and is approved for athletes.
* **Magnos** has developed smart performance gait analysis tech that can give feedback to people while they walk. Using sensors in the user’s shoes, the system analyses data using AI-powered algorithms and can monitor neurological conditions. The system is designed to help with movement disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis, and has been approved by the FDA.
* **Nutrislice** is the creator of the first non-invasive hormone monitoring sensor designed for at-home use, focusing on mental and metabolic health monitoring. The device, called “Cortisolise”, is able to monitor cortisol, which is a stress-related hormone that is linked to issues such as job-related absenteeism. The company states that the product can provide “real-time, actionable data,” with two patents pending.
* **Sensibiosys** is releasing “the sleekest smart ring on the market”, called VELIA. The ring can monitor sleep patterns, heart rate, and temperature and uses proprietary PPG technology. The company states that its goal is to provide personalized insights into the user’s health.
* **Beekee** has developed a “screen-free box” designed to transform digital education for children. The interactive box is designed to help children learn without a screen. It has over 350 mini children’s books and 3 million audio and visual learning resources. It can provide up to 40 lessons and is designed for use anywhere in the world.
* **Swip** produces a “semi-rigid rod” called “The Spin” with sensors to track player movement during games. This “screen-free educational game” is designed with the purpose of promoting and enhancing continuous engagement in game-play between players.
* **E-SkiMo** is focused on “redifining the future of skiing” with its electrically-assisted ski boots. The company’s design makes use of “advanced sensor technology and seamless design,” with the intent of making it easier to ascend and descend slopes.
* **Lifehive** offers a solution for beekeepers with their heating element that integrates into brood frames to control Varroa mites and viruses which are dangerous for bee colonies. The system heats to 42°C-47°C to eliminate pests and is suitable for use in New Zealand, Canada, and Europe, according to the source.
* **Mimic Robotics** is focused on “launching affordable, highly capable robotic arms and hands” that are designed to look like human limbs. The company’s robotic hands are paired with an AI model for improved dexterity.
These ten companies were showcased at the CES in Las Vegas from January 5th, 2025. In addition, swisstech also had booths at the Venetian Expo and the Global Pavilion.
