Infinix and PUBG Empower African Youth in Esports

Jan. 7, 2025 /Mpelembe Media/ —  Infinix and PUBG MOBILE partnered to host a national esports competition in Nigeria, aiming to empower African youths. This initiative  provides opportunities for young people to pursue esports careers. The competition, part of the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship (PMGC), offers a pathway for talented gamers to gain visibility and build their skills. The article highlights the expanding opportunities in the African esports industry and the transformative potential for young Nigerians.

Esports is providing African youth with opportunities to forge new connections and create opportunities. The 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) is one example of esports creating opportunities for African youth. Four students from the University of Lagos in Nigeria were able to compete in the 2024 PMGC. These students’ journey in gaming has brought them to the eyes of the world. Esports is part of a larger movement transforming how the world views gaming as a viable career path. The esports industry, with its expanding opportunities, has become a platform for the younger generation to showcase their skills and build communities.

Infinix partnered with PUBG Mobile to host a national campus competition in Nigeria, titled 2024 PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) Nigeria. Four players from the University of Lagos were able to compete as a result of this partnership.

The competition was called the 2024 PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) Nigeria. It was a national campus competition held in Nigeria. The competition was based on the game PUBG Mobile, and it was hosted through a partnership between Infinix and PUBG Mobile. This competition served as a qualifier for the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) and enabled four students from the University of Lagos to compete in the PMGC.
