Fidelity International Launches Metaverse Experience, Developed by TerraZero Technologies, Inc., to Encourage Financial Literacy in the Digital Age

TerraZero Technologies, Inc. (“TerraZero”), a technologies products and services firm and in-house creative studio, in collaboration with Fidelity International (“Fidelity”) has completed and deployed a 64-parcel activation to the Decentraland Metaverse, marking Fidelity’s first major step into the Metaverse and Web3 together.

QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge Now Accepting Applications

Now in its fifth year with Govtech accelerator partner Leading Cities, the QBE AcceliCITY Resilience Challenge is open to entrepreneurs whose ventures utilize smart-city solutions to address risk, equity and sustainability in urban environments. In 1956, during a year-long trip to London and in his early 20s, the mathematician and theoretical biologist Jack D. Cowan visited Wilfred Taylor and his strange new “learning machine”. On his arrival he was baffled by the “huge bank of apparatus” that confronted him. Cowan could only stand by and watch “the machine doing its thing”. The thing it appeared to be doing was performing an “associative memory scheme” – it seemed to be able to learn how to find connections and retrieve data.

2023 HBS New Venture Competition: Bringing Out the Best in HBS Students and Alumni, with Ideas and Ventures to Change the World


Harvard Business School’s (HBS) Klarman Hall was packed to capacity yesterday evening, with spectators there to support the 12 student finalist teams competing in the finale of the 26th annual HBS New Venture Competition (NVC). At stake was $225,000 in cash plus in-kind prizes to fund the startups. The top prize in the Student Business Track and Student Social Enterprise Track was $75,000 each, with runner-up prizes of $25,000; two audience prizes of $5,000; and $15,000 in Tough Technology prizes. UpEnergy issues world’s first carbon credits linked to electric clean cooking devices deployed in sub-Saharan Africa

UpEnergy, a leading social enterprise based in Kampala, Uganda, announced it has issued the world’s first ever carbon credits linked to emissions savings from the use of electric clean cooking devices. The emissions reductions were created in a new UpEnergy-led project aimed at replacing traditional, biomass burning stoves with an innovative electric stove created by climate tech startup PowerUP. The PowerUP electric pressure cooker (EPC) is designed for low-income households in several countries across sub-Saharan Africa.
