Why is John Connor so important?

10 June 2023 /Entertainment/ — John Connor is a fictional character in the Terminator franchise. He is the son of Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese, and the future leader of the human resistance against Skynet, a self-aware artificial intelligence that has initiated a nuclear war.

John Connor has been portrayed by several actors over the years, including Edward Furlong, Nick Stahl, Christian Bale, and Jason Clarke. He has also appeared in the television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, where he was portrayed by Thomas Dekker. Continue reading

Fast X review: proof that there’s method in the madness of the Fast & Furious franchise

There’s a scene in the latest Fast & Furious film, Fast X, where Aimes (Alan Ritchson) – the government agent tasked with apprehending Dom (Vin Diesel) and his crew – gives a rundown of the heroes’ backstory:

Let’s start back at the beginning … Los Angeles, 2001 … Humble roots, local kids … Street racers who became hijackers … Graduated to high-speed smuggling, mobile jailbreaks, train robberies … If it could be done in a car, they did it … If it violates the laws of God and gravity, they did it twice.

I kick ass and drink milk

The joke “I came here to drink milk and kick ass, and I’m just out of milk” was first said by the character Maurice Moss in the British TV show The IT Crowd. The joke is a play on the stereotype of the tough guy who drinks milk to build up his strength. In the show, Moss is a socially awkward and nerdy IT technician who is not at all tough. American steampunk Western film

Wild Wild West is a 1999 American steampunk Western film loosely adapted from the 1960s television series of the same name. The film was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and written by S. S. Wilson, Brent Maddock, Jeffrey Price, and Peter S. Seaman, from a story penned by brothers Jim and John Thomas. It stars Will Smith as U.S. Marshal James West and Kevin Kline as inventor Artemus Gordon, who are ordered by President Ulysses S. Grant (Kenneth Branagh) to stop Dr. Arliss Loveless (Kenneth Branagh), a former Confederate officer who is planning to assassinate Grant and start a new civil war. Adele James Cleopatra controversy

Some historians believe that she was of Macedonian Greek descent, while others believe that she had African ancestry. The casting of James, who is a black British actress, has been seen by some as an attempt to “blackwash” history.
