McGraw Hill and Verizon today announced several exciting updates to their augmented reality (AR) mobile app: McGraw Hill AR. The free, award-winning app, originally launched in June of 2022, is getting updated with expanded subject offerings as well as a new collaborative feature to foster group learning, both in and out of the physical classroom setting. The McGraw Hill AR app offers short, three-to-five-minute interactive activities aimed at helping engage students in new and impactful ways. Infleqtion Wins Funding to Develop and Manufacture the UK’s First Optical Atomic Clock

Blink and you could have missed it. Within 36 hours, the challenge mounted against the Kremlin by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the mercenary private military company the Wagner Group, was over. On Friday June 23 2023, Prigozhin ordered 25,000 of his troops on to a “march for justice”, which duly set out to confront the Russian president in Moscow. The following afternoon he called it off.

Afrobeats is a genre of music that originated in Nigeria in the early 1990s. It is a fusion of West African sounds, such as highlife and fuji, with American genres, such as hip hop and R&B. Cultivated Chicken Has Been Approved in the USA – IDTechEx Examines What’s Next for the Cultured Meat Industry

The cultured meat industry passed a key milestone in June 2023 – two companies, GOOD Meat and UPSIDE Foods, received approval to begin the commercialization of their cultivated chicken products in the USA. Cultivated meat, or cultured meat, refers to meat products produced from lab-grown animal cells and is proposed as a solution for some of the environmental and ethical issues associated with meat consumption. IDTechEx have been following the cultured meat industry for the past four years, and in its most recent report, Cultured Meat 2023–2043, forecasts the market to exceed US$13 billion by the year 2043.
