Here are some tips for making nshima:

  • Use fine-ground maize meal for the best results.
  • Make sure the water is boiling before you add the maize meal. This will help to prevent lumps.
  • Stir the nshima constantly while it is cooking. This will also help to prevent lumps.
  • Don’t overcook the nshima. It should be cooked through but still have a slightly soft texture.
  • Serve the nshima immediately with your favorite relish.
