A prominent childhood memory is of my grandparents living with and then dying from dementia. As is universal with dementia, there was a double blow: watching my grandparents lose their identity and seeing the suffering of those closest to them.
Aug.31, 2023 /Internet/ — Moderators could be liable to lawsuits if they fail to protect privacy and data protection. The European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA) aims to create a safer online environment for users by holding online platforms more accountable for the content they host. Under the DSA, moderators will be required to take steps to remove illegal content, such as hate speech and child sexual abuse material, from their platforms more quickly. Aug. 31, 2023 /Politics/ — There is no known beef between Zambia and Zimbabwe election results. The two countries have a long history of cooperation and have jointly worked on a number of regional initiatives. In the 2002 Zimbabwean presidential election, the Zambian government refused to recognize the results, which were won by Robert Mugabe. However, this was due to concerns about the fairness of the election, rather than any beef with Zimbabwe. Continue reading

29 August 2023 /Transport/ –The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) is a low-emission zone in London, England. It was introduced in April 2019 and expanded to cover all London boroughs on August 29, 2023. The ULEZ charges drivers of vehicles that do not meet certain emission standards a daily fee to drive within the zone. The aim of the ULEZ is to reduce air pollution in London.

In May 2023, the Dallas City Government was hugely disrupted by a ransomware attack. Ransomware attacks are so-called because the hackers behind them encrypt vital data and demand a ransom in order to get the information decrypted.
There continues to be lots of excitement regarding new Li-ion anode technologies. The next generation of silicon anode materials are inching closer to commercialization with the promise of improved energy density and rate capability. Lithium-metal and anode-free solutions continue to be explored, while options such as niobium oxides have also garnered some interest for fast-charging batteries. Nevertheless, the good overall performance and low cost of graphite means that it is predicted to maintain its dominance in the Li-ion industry. Continue reading
