The date itself is a pun on the famous Star Wars saying “May the Force be with you.” Fans turned “Force” into “Fourth” to create a fun way to celebrate.

People celebrate Star Wars Day in all sorts of ways. They might watch Star Wars movies, marathon the TV shows, dress up like their favorite characters, or have Star Wars-themed parties.
